tmi... what is a show after a sweep...

had a sweep this afternoon, and there was a touch of blood which she said meant i'd have a bit of a show
now a few hrs later its not let up, like early / late period, dark brownish... lovely
is this a proper show or just normal afrer a sweep... could I be getting excited about the night ahead having a little something in store??
should I be worried?

This is exactly what I'm having. I had a sweep on Monday afternoon. The midwife said not to worry unless the blood was still bright red the next day. On Monday eve it was dried blood coming out but since then it has been a browny sludge ( discharge mixed with old blood - very like end of period). I'm getting a few cramps and Braxtons have become a bit more frequent but nothing else. If it continues I'll ring hospital tomorrow to check it's normal. I'll let you know what they say. Hope things happen for you later.
