There are some very positive things about this scan. For a start you get a another look at your LO, which is always good. If he is breech you will be prepared, so no emergency CS.

He may not be breech too, but if he is, is a CS really that bad?

I was in same situation at 37 weeks. I was desperate for CS and didn't get because DD had turned. Birth was ok but would still have preferred CS.

It was nice to see her on the screen that late in pregnancy and it was a chance to speak to the consultant about my worries, so the appointment was good in that sense.

Try not to feel out of control- there are still some things you can do if you want baby to turn (try googling 'spinning babies').

babies can turn at any time even during the birth. Look at spinningbabies.com, see a birth freindly hypnotherapist (Hypnosis good for turning breech babies) and think positively.

and remember breech does not always mean cs!

My baby was breech and was turned by ECV. Some people find ECV painful, but I found it uncomfortable without being too painful or stressful at all. Baby turned OK and had a VD on her due date. Might be worth considering ECV if your baby is breech and you would prefer not to have a CS.

Quick update for all of you who have been so supportive during the time of uncertainty:

Head down, LOA, plenty of fluid still, perfect placenta action, and wait for it....3/5 engaged!!!

So it looks safe again and looks like things are starting to happen.

Thank you for being so lovely to chum me :)
