I have been booked in for a strech and sweep. Im due the 8th. I have no family around and my mum is coming down the 8th to be with us. I have a 5yr old son who Im trying to sort out childcare for each day just in case. My point is this Im a bit worried about this day as Tues as there are no people really around that day and she has chose that day for it. I think they are booked up. So my question is this would you ask other half to take the day off just in case or just wait and see what happens? As I need my 5yr old to be taken care of. Its really worrying me now. Im getting more worried about him being cared for than the birth!! My DS is not my partners and is going to see his dad every other weekend as we live 2 hours away. I have asked ex husband to be on stand by if needs be. My mum cant drive on the the motoway so just a bit worried really. Did think of living at my mums for a few weeks so as i will have someone to look after my DS all the time. anyone esle worried about stuff. I cant afford a taxi to the hospital either money is really tight. Im not wanting to go to the hospital unless in deffo labour as parking is 4 quid a time as well as petrol.......

When I had a sweep it did sod all so it doesn't necessarily mean baby will arrive that day. I can sympathise with you re childcare though. I'm asking several friends if they'll be about to have DD and DS. My parents are only about a 45 min drive away but they both work so they may not be able to come when needed. I would try not to stress about it too much, I'm sure there will be plenty of people happy to help if you ask (most probably assume you've got it sorted). If you and your mum are happy with you staying there I don't see any harm in it, personally I think I'd go nuts if I had to live with my mum again, as lovely as she is! Could she possibly stay with you?

Hello missp2010 think my emotions/hormones are a bit crazy at the moment?! Its making me not think straight! I cant think normal! Everything is what if dont know why I do worry normally but not this much! Im being silly and stressing over something that does not need stressing over think like most women this far gone not much sleep and lots of contractions and thinking this is it every night is making me a bit on edge!! Im such a nanna! Im sorry there is no one around to help you guys as well. I only have my mum she is struggling to get time off work and is recently divorced and has a mortgage to pay on her own. So she is trying her best as well. I could stay with my mum for a few days but then my sons school is down here and they dont like him having time off I also dont want DP missing the birth of his first child. Who knows what I should do!!! Prob not message on here when tired!! he he. As for the strech and sweep did not have one with first pregnancy so not sure how I will react. Sorry it did not work for you :( hope all goes well for you. Smile
