Am 38+6
Been to MW, saw another different one today - 5 so far + 2 students
I was told by 'regular' MW 4 weeks ago baby was engaged and 'ready to go'
Now told its not any longer and head is at an angle, so could go transverse, having been down whole time (naughty baby)
They are home visiting next Tuesday & Thursday, purposely thurs to ensure friday is available incase of hosp visit, as they have said if its not in a good position im going for a scan on the fri to 'discuss options' likely Section
Is all this pretty standard?
I just feel a bit unearved that having seen so many people recently they are now seem to be thinking of a section already?
I know what will be will be, just wondered if anyone had any anything similar and what the end outcome way
thanks

At the unit where I work the consultants would most probably wait until your due date to see if any tightenings have helped the head engage.

If the baby is transverse then it will need to be a section as can't be born vaginally that way. I think going into labour with transverse can be risky as there is a risk of cord delivering but baby obv not able to. Hence they probably want to keep a very close eye on you now you're so close.

Sorry misread I didn't realise you said transverse I thought you said the head wasn't engaged Blush

update now is scan has been brought forwards to monday... the student MW called, and I have to say is v good at keeping things moving!
I have no idea what to expect, or what to do if it hasnt moved if they give me an option
I'm tending towards section, but wonder if it is foolish to gear up for a section when actually may have moved anyway!!!
