Has anyone here done this? Will my midwife think I'm bonkers? Does it depend on the hospital?

I'm having an ELCS and according to the website there's nothing speaking against donation.

No. Don't know. Don't know.

But given its an NHS scheme you'd hope an NHS MW wouldn't be that shocked by the idea... IM's tend to be quite open to alternative ideas, so I'm guessing they wouldn't be horrified either.

I'm glad you posted though - it isn't something I've come across before and I'll bear it in mind if I have any more DC :)

I've phoned them and alas, they're currently not doing it in the north, but only in the London area. Ah well, at least I've tried.
