So - it looks like I'm in labour....!

Have been having tightenings/backache etc. for a few days, then this morning had a show - midwife did an internal and sure enough I'm 2cm dilated, fully effaced and baby is completely engaged. I had a contraction while she was 'in there'.

I'm booked in for ELCS on Friday (when I'll be 39 weeks), but have said I'll attempt VBAC in the event of earlier labour - I just knew this one was going to be early!

So it looks like we might be having a VBAC after all...!

Am now torn between putting my feet up and frantically trying to get on top of the laundry

Good luck, although I would get on top of the laundry... as shit as that job is, it might get things moving more!
Will keep an eye on this thread for news!

Well, after I wrote this everything stopped, but am having a contraction as we speak.....

have done some laundry...

hmmm, contractions every few mins for the last 3 hours or so - but no pain, just really tight. Toying with the idea of ringing the hospital...

Still here! Things eased off overnight so slept ok. Can feel it starting up again though, and there's an awful lot of 'stuff' leaking out of me... So will prob ring the hospital again in a bit!

practising is all good. gets things all soft and squigy in advance of the main event (hence the stuff/goo leaking).

make sure you have a good breakfast.

oh thats a nuisance was hoping to see that you had given birth during the night ,well i am off out soon but will check back to see how you are doing later.keep going up and down the stairs or something

Had a huge brekkie. DH has gone to work for the morning so am doing the housework and entertaining a toddler.... No proper contractions today, just a slight back/stomach ache and lots of goo!

having a few now, still not painful but taking my breath away. Ho hum. am now hoping things slow down as tomorrow would be far more convenient (DS at nursery) .

hello all - admitted this am, waters gone but no dilation so opted for section - had baby girl at 3.50pm, 6lb 1oz. Am currently mnetting while breastfeeding! Thanks for all the good wishes x
