Just how long will my hind waters leak for? And is it ok?

Went to day ass' unit yesterday as thought my waters had broke the previous evening. After seeing the mw, she told me it was the hind waters. Not sure what the hind waters are and can I still bath ect or is there a risk of infection? Confused

I had this. Small trickles, noticible but no real "gush". Good news is that hind waters can and do regularly re-seal themselves and your body continues to replace amniotic fluid pretty reliably.

In terms of infection, keep an eye on your temp and maybe stick to showers for a bit (I did, to er on side of caution), change pads/pants regularly etc. and report any stinging or itchiness as well as changes in colour of discharge to your midwife.

Best of luck!
