Hi

I'm 34 weeks today but spent Monday night in hospital with contractions, think I was taking my devotion to One Born Every Minute a bit too far!!

Anyway, the contractions stopped on their own, I've had steroid injections just in case and I was sent home Tuesday afternoon. Today I've had a 'heavy' tummy all day, have been weeing loads and have also had a couple of No2's (sorry TMI!!)... I'm also just feeling a bit uncomfortable and everytime baby moves it's a slower and slightly more painful movement, I'm assuming it's because she is right down in my pelvis...

Am not sure if this is a sign she is definately on her way soon or whether I'm just being paranoid because of Monday night!! Anyone else with similar experience??

It does seem a bit early for these kind of low-down-scrapey-pain feelings. I've been feeling like that for the last week, since I was 38 weeks. From memory, in my last pg I felt like that for a good 2 to 3 weeks before going into labour, so you're not necessarily going to go into labour in the next few days.

At 34 weeks and with the steroid injections baby should be fine if born now, please try not to worry about it. Chances are you'll hang on for a few weeks and get to 37 weeks - i.e. full term.

Just lay off sex, over-activity, curry, raspberry leaf tea, etc, just in case they do actually work!

Good luck.
