I sat down on my bed this morning and felt wet down the inside of my legs etc. went to the toilet and wiped and it was a straw colour. I havent really had anything else since, just a general"wet" feeling.
Im just a little concerned as im only 27+3
thanks x

Hi there

why don't you give your midwife/delivery suite a ring? My guess is that they'll ask you to come in and will check to see if it could be your waters.

It probably isn't - could be wee or increased discharge but I'd say it's worth seeing what they think.

Worth checking with midwife for sure.

But when I was preg, I had tonnes more general moisture in that area. It felt wet a lot. The point of having to wear a liner all the time. It could be just hormones changing

If you're brave enough have a sniff as aminotic fluid/ waters do have a quite distinct sweetish smell.

I would also second the chat with your mw (today!) pop a pad in and see if you have any further, fluid as if you do see someone it will give them a better idea of what it is.

If I were you I would ring the labour ward and say you are coming in for them to check whether your waters have broken or not. Then get a cab and get down there. You can't mess around at this gestation.

Sometimes the waters can leak and then reseal. Sometimes the waters can dribble away in stages. Most likely the waters haven't gone at all. But there's no way of knowing without an internal and if you can make sure they do the colour change swab. If they don't do the swab then ask for a scan.

Good luck let us know how you get on.
