How many c-sections?

Hi,

I have had 2 c-sections, a partial to remove an ectopic (didn't cut into the womb though)and am considering child number 3. It would have to be another c-section, but don't know how many sections it is 'safe' to have?

Has anyone had any similar experiences??

I've got my 4th section booked for June, I haven't had any problems related to the three previous ones. I greatest risk I think is related to placental problems - if the placenta implants over the section scar it can be dangerous.

I know someone who has had 6 cs's. I don't think it is entirely recommended though.

I've read that 3 is the recommended safe limit but women do have more obviously.

It also depends on individual factors, how your uterus is coping with the sections, for example, after my last section (my 2nd) I was told that if I wanted another child I should plan on that being my last, and that they would do the section early to reduce the chance of my uterus rupturing. But I know that some people cope fine with more than 3 sections.
