A few hours ago, It felt like I wet myself Blush But i'd not long been in loo, and blader didnt feel full. went to loo and managed to 'go' If i'd just had an accedent, surely i'd be empty? Confused didnt smell like urine, but was only a small amount, and nothing since. its dc3. but had to have my waters broken during labour with previous 2, so don't remember anything about them! can you only loose a bit of water? dont want to ring mw as cant go into hospital at mo. and can they go over a long period of time??? am getting a few twinges, but nothing strong or regular.

Yes, they can go in little bits. Are you due yet? Mine didn't break in until I wass in labour last time so no experience of it. There's no immediate panic to get to hospital though. Ring your MW and ask for advice, maybe she'll tell you to come in and be checked in the morning.

I had a few dribbles and tightenings with DC2 and went to the delivery suite to get checked out. It was my waters and I went into labour a few hours later. Unfortunately I was only 28 weeks pregnant. You should get checked out as soon as you can.

With DC2 I had a slow trickle/short bursts that started about 11pm (there was a definite pop but I'm not sure I'd have noticed it had I not been lying down quietly in bed). I had mild twinges for a bit and then it went fully and gushed everywhere about 5am. I only called the midwife at that point and they wanted me to come in to be checked out but didn't think it was urgent if it was clear and I wasn't having proper contractions. At my hospital they said that they would recommend to be induced 24 hrs after waters went I think (In the end labour started properly about 10am, baby born at 11:15am). I would call as I think hospitals vary and I doubt they'll call you in if things are OK and haven't yet kicked off.

At least you got checked out and being 40+5 you know it won't be too much longer now.

They couldn't stop my labour and DD was born at 28 weeks. It was a tough few years but she is absolutely fine now and due to start school in September.

Good luck! Smile
