...I know what you mean!

beatie · 20/10/2005 10:52

I felt like that after my first daughter was born. I'd walk around the supermarket, expecting people to get out of my way, thinking to myslef

"Don't you know I've just given birth!"

It's great that you feel so proud of yourself... and rightly so.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 20/10/2005 10:56

Well done, it is a wonderful feeling the thought that you have brought a little life into the world, regardless of how they got there.

DH and I still look at DS(4) in awe and say we made that little person.

lyra41 · 20/10/2005 11:00

CONGRATULATIONS!!! AND WELL DONE. SO GLAD IT WENT WELL. REST NOW, AND FEED.

FangAche · 20/10/2005 11:00

smug<

I've done it twice.

sweetkitty · 20/10/2005 11:21

it is an amazing feeling isn't it?

Springchicken · 20/10/2005 11:22

I know exactly how you feel
I felt exactly the same and still feel the same pride now. I thought I was strange for feeling like that but i'm glad i'm not the only one.

Well Done btw

Gisou · 20/10/2005 14:08

Ahhh, Well Done, what a nice refreshing thread, I enjoyed childbirth as well but I found most people thought I was as mad as a box of frogs so I stopped mentioning it until today

Good Luck and look after yourself.

izzybiz · 20/10/2005 18:50

congratulations!! ive had two, both naturally, hurt like hell, but theres no other feeling like it!youre allowed to be proud, enjoy.

moondog · 20/10/2005 18:53

Oh well done novadandy. It's fab isn't it? I still feel soooo clever (and was secretly convinced when I was pg that I would be someone who just couldn't do it-rather like passing my driving test.)

Feet up now-while you can.

frannykenstein · 20/10/2005 18:57

Hooray! A new small person in the world! Great news

LadyTophamHatt · 20/10/2005 19:14

Congratulations novandandypowder, it's a fantasic feeling, isn't it?
Welcome to the secret club

Springchicken · 20/10/2005 19:15

Just goes to show as well - my birth was horrific (impo) yet i still had that amazing feeling!

Redtartanlass · 20/10/2005 19:29

novadandypowder -Congratulations soooooo clever.

Have you done the "oh my goodness, how did this fit into here" game, where you hold the wee bub against your tummy.

Or is that just me

Redtartanlass · 20/10/2005 19:30

However not be recommended holding upside down BYW

tegan · 20/10/2005 19:35

I have had 2 natural births and know exactly how you feel. I love the whole pregnancy, labour and even birth thing but would love someone to take the kid away and give it back when it's 18 and less hastle. LOL
