Has anyone taken Caulophyllum when overdue to speed labour up?

I have just bought them as a mum recommended it but I won't have it yet. I rather hear some experiences.

I took some from a homeopath when I wanted DS out but didn't want inducing - it didn't seem to make much difference as he turned up more than a week after I'd started taking it after my 3rd sweep! He was 11 days late and his labour was quick and easy so nothing bad to say about it, just not a miracle cure. Arnica on the other hand, is THE must have for after the birth

I used it with DD and thought it was amazing, as I went into labour soon after. However did not work at all with DS. But that labour was really fast so maybe it helped contractions to become more effective?

Either way I say it's defiantly worth a try!

Arica is fab too, you can start taking it in labour to really help the healing process, lavender oil is good too too if you have stitches, pop a few drops in the bath to help things heal.

I used it to avoid going overdus with dc#2. Was p[rescribed by a homeopath, I wouldn't really recomend self prescribing.

She told me it wouldn't get you into labour but when labour started to get to the hosp quickly.

Well I went 2 wks over but luckily I was in the hosp already cos labour was a very swift 2 hours from uncomfy fidgety to baby in arms.

thanks ladies.
Those of you who took it...how often did you do it? 2 per day? 2 every certain hours?

I cant really remember but I think it was 2 every 4 hours. And then as and when in labour. But tbh that is a guess! As others have said best to speak to homeopath.
Good luck

paula it won't put you into labour, but may speed up the process once you go into labour

Oh Thanks lia66! I'll stop then...just as well it's labour what doesn't get started... I don't know why!
