Bleeding after sex...

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone can help or give me some advice. My DD (our first) was born 5 months ago. I had very bad 2nd degree tears (to the perineum and laterally) and lost 2 pints of blood. All has seemed to have healed and my DH and I are trying to start to have sex again. After an attempt last night (it's painful, but if we take our time all is well) I noticed that I was bleeding. It was very light, pink and not much to be honest, but is still a bit stingy this morning. Has anyone had experience of this, or should I see my Dr?

I don't really know - I had a second degree tear but resumed sex at 7 weeks. It was a little tender in places but no bleeding. If you're worried, you could speak to your HV in the first instance if you don't want to see your dr straight away? Hopefully someone else will be along who might be able to offer more advice.
