Anyone had a 3rd labour that wasn't stop start but just got going properly first time??

I had a fast 2nd labour and have been told that 3rds are notorious for being a bit stop start and can go on for days / couple of weeks on and off before the real thing but once it gets going it's quick.

I'm now convinced that I'll ignore it thinking it's a false start and get to the hospital too late!

yes. my third was a week over. woke up in early hours havig a contraction, he was born 48 minutes later

I had first under 4 hours
Second under 2 and dd was a very speedy hour.

Not at all stop start but just one long contraction..like a very uncomfortable theme park ride.

I only just got to the hops which was only 5 minutes away.

Dh went to neighbours as soon as I had first contractio as they needed to sit with the boys. He ran back in 5 minutes later saying ' she has just gone to her friends for 5 minutes and will be straight back'

We had to leave ds1 watching ds2 and leg it (sort of)

Phew.

no, i got up and yelled to dp to get the birth pool set up lol

it was a planned homebirth, but the midwives didn't make it in time. they'd told him to call 999 if i needed to push, which he did... ambulance didn't get there either! lol

oh crikey.

I'm feeling 'rather niggly' myself today and monster BHs this evening 'with a twist'....
