We have a tank, so when it's empty it has to fill and heat again.

Is it realistically going to fill a pool?

thank you

Doubt it! Most people need two or three tankfuls at least but they do stay warm particularly if you get the lid - and you have to fill them at least a few hours before you need them so you have time. :)

Well, it depends how big your tank is and how hot the water is in your tank.

We filled our pool (La Bassine) and our water tank was an average household size, but our hot water was scalding.

It is a good idea to get some sort of insulation to put under your pool. We had a sheet of celotex (dh is a builder!) and it worked brilliantly. I've also seen people cover the top of their pool with bubble wrap to help keep some of the heat in.

we filled a la bassine in one go

dp just made the water really, really, really, really hot so we needed less hot and plenty of cold

we got it up and filled within about 40 mins
