Did your labour start/child born same sort of time of day?

Just out of curiosity, were your children born at a similar time of day? Or labour start at the same sort of time ish?

It's probably random, but DS1 was born at 10 in the evening and DS2 1.30 in the morning, so I can't get into my head that this baby might be born any time of the day, I just assume it will be evening/night.

Am I being completely silly?

My first was born at 2am and my second at 8.50am. So both morning births, if that helps your theory? [Grin]

It's coincidence! Mine were born at midnight, 10.30 am and 8pm in that order! Also born end December, end March and end June so no conceiving at the same time of year here either. Just needed one at the end of September to have one born at the end of each financial quarter!

DD1 was born at 2:30pm
DD2 was at 2:13am

so completely opposite hours of the day/night for me!

KikiJane · 02/02/2011 10:25

Mine were both induced, although in totally different ways.

Son: Was contracting every 5 mins, day and night, for 3 days and only got to 3cm by myself. Arrived for induction at 40+14 at 7.30am, put on drip, had epidural, he was born at 6.55pm.

Daughter: Was contracting every 5 mins, day and night, for 3 days and only got to 3cm by myself. Arrived for induction at 40+13 at 7.30am, given pessary, refused drip, nothing much happened for ages. Midwife broke my waters at 5.30pm (and 4cm), I got up off the bed and almost immediately needed to push. She was born at 6.21pm (with no pain relief at all).

So half an hour apart, despite totally different methods.

Not mine!
Dd1 started 8am, born 13.37
Dd2 started 22.45, born 1am

notso · 02/02/2011 12:08

My sister and I were both born about half three on a Thursday.

DD and DS1 were both early morning(5/6 o'clock) after long labours.
DS2 was born at 4:35 in the afternoon after a short labour.
All my contractions kicked off properly around lunchtime though.

TanteRose · 02/02/2011 12:11

DD - water broke 1am, born 6am
DS - contractions started 5am, born 8am

nikki1978 · 02/02/2011 12:13

DD - waters broke at 7.30am Thursday morning, labour started at 10pm, born 5.38pm Friday

DS - waters broke at 11.00pm, labour started at 2am, born at 4.30am

ragged · 02/02/2011 12:19

Labour twinges started all over the clock, and labour lasted between 2 and 36 hours, but the 4 actual births all occurred between 2:30am & 8am.

ivykaty44 · 02/02/2011 12:21

Isn't there a woman recently that had three births at 7.43am or something similar and the odd of having three babies born at the same time of day where odd on millions to one

ThaliaKeith · 02/02/2011 12:22

DS - waters broke 6:30am, labour started properly 6:45pm, he was born at 2:50am the next morning

DD - labour started about 7am, she was born at 1:30pm that day

ivykaty44 · 02/02/2011 12:24

here is the story

hastingsmum · 02/02/2011 13:44

All three of my dcs births started in the night with waters breaking. They were all born at roughly the same time.

Egg · 02/02/2011 13:49

Ds1 born 1:08am after labour started about 9pm. Twins born at 12:12pm and 12:37pm after labour started around 8:30am. So complete opposites....

PinkElephant73 · 02/02/2011 18:23

with both of mine (DS1 induced, DS2 started spontaneously), labour started at about 2am. DS1 eventually arrived at 8pm, DS2 a bit earlier at 3pm. hoping DC3 will continue the trend and arrive quicker than that!

Squitten · 02/02/2011 19:07

DS1: Breech baby - planned section but started labouring naturally at 9pm. Went into surgery at 7cms dialated and baby born 4:30am

DS2: Labour started 3am, baby delivered 9:30am.

There is every chance that if DS1 had been born naturally, he may well have been born around the same time but the labour would have been double the length of DS2!

MrsAlwaysRight · 04/02/2011 15:44

DD1 - contractions started at about 7.30am and she was born at 3.13am the following morning.

DD2 - contractions started at about 10.30am and she was born at 3.18am.

So very similar and both born on a Monday!

mungogerry · 04/02/2011 21:59

1:51am

10:55am

4:35pm

8:15pm

No pattern for me, other than getting later in the day I guess?
