csec scar???

how big is a c section scar??? I am interested as I was watching OBEM, and they seemed to cut her massievly !!!! I though tit was small....???

I have just measured mine for you!

It is exactly 16 cm long (6").

And they are so low down you'd never see them even in most bikinis.

mine is about 6". not going to measure to be precise as i only have a metal tape measure

mine is 5 1/2 inches! But I was shocked at how big and brutal it looked on OBEM!!!

Mine is about 8 inches, emrgency section though and stuck baby so don't know if that makes a difference

first one is 6 inches then the second which is almost but not quite on top of it is slightly longer either end maybe by an inch. Dunno if thats common with a 2nd scar. they try to keep it as near to the previous one I think

Thank you..I am due twins and I have to be realistic that I might end up having ces...elective or not as the case maybe it did look VERY gruesome on OBEM last night !

Mine is 5 1/2" - they cut my first one out when they did my second so I only have the one scar (both ELCS).

it looks much bigger because afterwards it shrinks down loads as your bump shrinks.

Mine is 15cm, or it was after DD1. It was a bit of a mess, I don't think they sewed me up too well, and then after DD2 it was neat and lovely. It's a year on now and looks more like 10cm long, because the ends have faded to white.

Mine is about 6 inches.
But you can't see it, as there is an attractive overhang hiding it.

Mine is about 7 inches long now - the ends have really faded so perhaps it was longer initially.

They need plenty of room though, to get their hands in and get the baby out - I'm sure it depends to some extent on the position of the baby. DS was a bit stuck it transpired once they got in there.

They are usually very small and neat these days. Remember that that region is about as stretched as it will ever be on the mum on tv, and it will all shrink back down again to some extent.

Mine is 5.5 inches and is a resealable pack (one emergency section, one elective). Really, the scar is nothing, it's exactly on the 'natural' bikini line. But the Section Shelf just above it where the muscles have been cut twice is bothersome. But it was worth it.

DH is an obstetrician and he said how big it was too so don't worry. Not sure how big mine is but nowhere near that big. Probaby 5 inches - quite small really.

God, I watched that through my fingers thinking "That was like my tummy!". I don't know why I watch that programme sometimes

Had a EMCS 6 months ago, my scar still looks like someone has drawn on me with a purple pen. When will it fade??
