When does hair loss start?

I had a week of hair shedding after I gave up breast feeding (at 3 weeks), then it stopped. I assume it will come back with a vengeance. But when?

Mine started at about 3 months post-birth and continued for about 2 months. I was surprised I had any hair left at all afterwards! (I was still breastfeeding though)

does breastfeeding make a difference?

For me it was 3 months, both times. I was ebf, but I think that was when my hormones started to get back to normal - my period came back a couple of weeks later too.

I am bf and mine started about a month ago, so just before 4 months.

Mine started coming out at about 4 months postnatal I think - DH was going crazy with it ending up all over the house, blocking the drain in the bath etc! I don't think BFing makes a difference though.

Don't know if bf makes a difference, but I guess it might. My periods still haven't come back and DD is now nearly 8 months...

i bf until 12 weeks or so. Hair loss started at 15 weeks i think and lasted until 19 weeks. It was horrendous, I honestly thought i'd be bald! But i'm not.

I'm bf and my hair has started coming out with a vengeance in the last few days - baby is 13 weeks old.
