First time sex after 3rd degree tears - is this normal?

I delivered my son 11 weeks ago and suffered 3rd degree tears which healed well with no complications. I was told that the stitches had gone at 6 weeks so I can't understand why, when we had sex for the first time today I had bleeding after and a pricking feeling internally when I sit down and put pressure on my insides IYSWIM.

Does this sound normal? Should I be worried and head to gp?

11 weeks is still very early days. Even after your stitches have healed, expect to be sore for quite a while (no one tells you that in hospital!). I had 2nd degree tears with lots of stitches and couldn't have sex without it hurting for 6 months...

Pain is definitely to be expected but I wouldn't have thought bleeding after sex is. I had a third degree tear and sex is still painful x
