Has anyone had ECV? Any experiences welcome and does it hurt for a few days after?

I am 36 weeks. Baby is breech. I wanted the hospital to do a c section at 38 weeks as I have SPD and can barely walk. They won't do it until 39 weeks so I am going to go ahead with ECV, and hope she is a bit early.

Has anyone had it? All stories and experiences welcome. Also if you did, were you sore after for a few days? The leaflet says you will be and I am having it done 2 days before DS's party. Wondering if I am going to be in pain (more than just the SPD).

Thread about it here. I had it last week and it doesn't really hurt after although I don't have SPD. There's a couple of places on my abdomen that feel a bit tender, just like a mild bruise but that's all.

Good luck with it. It really helps if you don't fight the consultant when he/she's turning baby. It's easier said than done so get practising those deep breaths!

I posted on the previous thread linked. Just to add to what I said, I did feel sore for a few days after like my abdomen was bruised, but nothing major that interfered with life, only like having a bruise on your leg or something.

Thanks. Have read the link. Pretty much what I thought would happen. Glad not too much pain after, SPD is giving me enough of that!
