.......is this normal? I'm sure it had stopped after 2 weeks with DS1.

Yup. Normal. Six or 7 weeks with two out my three births.

sparkle1977 · 12/01/2011 14:10

Normal again here, mine were about 6 weeks with both of my births.

Yes...I was told to expect about 6 weeks, but in my case it had mostly petered out by then.

ShowOfHands · 12/01/2011 14:11

Absolutely fine as long as there's no pain, smell or it doesn't get suddenly worse.

6 weeks or so here too. If it's bright red it can be a sign that you need to slow down a bit .

6 weeks for both of mine. i got the bright red return when i overdid it with ds1 so put your feet up!

NichyNoo · 12/01/2011 15:08

I bled bright red blood for 6 weeks after DS was born. Told doctor at 6 week check up, she examined me and all was OK.

Thanks everyone, reassured now. I probably have been overdoing it, but with a lively 5 year old aswell, what else can you do!! Wink
