First period post baby

Hi there

I am sure there is probably another thread about this so apologies if so. I was just wondering what kind of experiences women had with their first period post pregnancy.

I am ten weeks post natal and this morning I had some very slight spotting. My periods could sometimes do this a week or so before they kicked off. I have heard that that te first period can be really heavy. Anyone have a different experience?

I had spotting at about 8 weeks and nothing since (5 months and ebf)

I just rethought that, it was 12 weeks.

my bleeding stopped about two weeks ago and yesterday i got spotting and also today - I am only six weeks post birth. No idea what is going on down there.

My 1st period after DC3 was spotting for the first cycle, I was breastfeeding and it didn't arrive until DD had cut down on feeds at about 7.5months. Have since had another period, it seemed normal but lighter.

Sorry to anyone hoping for no periods, but my DS was EBF. My lochia stopped at 4 weeks, and my period showed up two weeks later.

My period was heavier than normal, however I only had a few "normal" periods between stopping the pill and conceiving, so it may well have been perfectly normal.

My second period was late though, so bear in mind that they might not get back into the usual routine straight away :)

Third is due at the end of the week, but I have a sneaky suspicion that I may be pregnant.......
