Hi all,
I'm 39/40 with DC2 and have just had a horrible night with my head down the toilet vomiting, today I have stomach cramps and have been sat on the toilet frequently!! DD had really loose nappy last night and vomited 2 nights ago so I'm guessing its a bug working its way around the family.
I really don't feel like eating and the last time I had this a few months ago I really didn't eat very much for about 3-4 days afterwards.
Will this be damaging in to baby in final week before due date? I am trying to think of babes and have forced down toast this morning but I almost saw it again a little while after.
I know I should be building up my reserves for birth but feel dreadful Sad

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had the worst D & V bug of my life when i was just pregnant. Gp said baby would take all it needed from me. I appreciate that your nearer the end but guessing it would be the same.

i was advised to go in if still vomiting after 12hours for antisickness jab but not to worry too much about dia.

Hope your feeling better soon. If your worried perhaps a call to midwife/gp just to reassure you.

Please don't worry, you're body will have enough reserves for baby whether you eat or not. For now, I would stick to clear fluids for 12 hours and give your tummy time to settle. A chat with GP will let you know anything else you can do

I was thinking that would be the case, baby always seems to cream the best of me off the top and I get the dreggs! Iron levels are in my boots etc!
I'm feeling a little better as the day drags on, atleast this bug didnt rear its ugly head once baby arrived! Hmm
Thanks for your replies.
