Strained maternity care debate

Hi everyone,

Thought I would finally join and post (although I'm also a long-time occasional reader as I have a very young niece and nephew!)

Basically, the blog I work with has a debate piece today on whether government cuts and strain on midwives is putting children at risk. I appreciate there has recently been a thread on here trying to counter the depressing stories about the state of maternity care but I genuinely thought it was an interesting post and worth sharing.

You can find the piece here if you're interested in reading more :) www.mydaily.co.uk/2011/01/06/maybe-baby-is-the-government-risking-the-lives-of-our-children/

PS I tried to check whether posting this sort of thing was okay but couldn't find anything written down - if there's a problem just let me know
