Has anyone given birth at BARNET GENERAL recently?

Hi,
I'd be interested to hear of recent experiences at Barnet General especially on the labour and post-natal wards.
I gave birth to DS in '02 and all in all what should have been a special experience was somewhat marred by a few people there. I had no special requests (pool etc) except I knew I wanted an epidural and the reassurance of being in a hospital where emergency staff/equipment would be at hand if nec. To cut a long story short my labour lasted about 16 hours over about 3 midwife shifts (one was lovely, two were at best indifferent, culminating in the consultant delivering by ventouse in a final bid to avoid a c-section after she discovered DS chord was around his neck. The thing is some of the midwives had been making comments to the effect that I wasn't trying hard enough yet none of them had picked up on the chord problem and let me carry on pushing. Also in the night they called a registrar in to check and the guy was literally asleep on his feet!! Finally the nurse/midwife on the post-natal ward night shift was so abrupt and rude I just wanted to cry and go home asap.
Sorry if this is long but was wondering if anyone had more cheerful recent experiences as I will probably have second baby there in the spring(touch wood).
