Baby thrashing about at 39 weeks - good sign?

Not very violently but he's been so active this afternoon and evening. Really feels like he wants to get out of there! Is this a recognised sign, a lot of activity before going into labour? (MW said it was something of a myth that babies quieten down beforehand, and that any major quietening should be checked out.)

No sign of a show or change in mucus. It's entirely likely I'm wishful-thinking! Would be nice to have him out before Christmas (though childcare for DS1 is going to be tricky if we transfer to hospital, given my parents probably can't get through the snow).

Maybe something to do with eating all those Lindor? Blush

I think sometimes babies do behave differently just prior to labour. But any change in movements should be checked to be on the safe side.
