Longer stay birth centres

Any one know of anywhere in the SE London/Kent area where you can stay for a few days after having the baby?

I've got two pre-school age children already and expecting my third early next year. I'm thinking it might be nice to get a couple of quiet days in with the baby after giving birth before heading home to the general day to day chaos!

A friend had her baby in a birth centre in Hampshire and could stay for four days. Does anyone know if anything like that exists around SE London/Kent areas. (I've got a lovely vision of spending time in bed watching television and having food brought to me!)

Probably a bit far for you but after I had DD in the hospital (induction) DH, DD and I transferred to the Dover Birthing Centre where we stayed for a night in a private double room. Was heaven- we could have stayed for longer but DH wanted to go home Angry

Crowborough birth centre allows extended stays if they have room I think.

I was at Crowborough in June and stayed two nights, but could have stayed longer if I'd wanted to. The staff there are really nice and helpful too!

I've found a couple of birthcentres where you can stay for longer - both are private though. Has anyone any experience of either the Lansdell Suite at St Guys and Thomas' or the birth centre in coverton rd Tooting?
