Hi
advice please, trying not to worry...
I gave birth 8 and a half weeks ago, bled for 5 weeks, then again at 6 weeks for four days and now again at 8 and a half weeks. Not heavy but has been red.
Sure its normal and my body healing just wanted reassurance. I feel fine.

Have you just started doing more? Are you breast feeding? Bleeding starting again could just be your body telling you to slow down, or you could be really unlucky and have your period back already.

hi
im busy but no more than i think i should be doing!
I am breastfeeding but got my periods back pretty much straight away after my first child. was worried that they seem to be happening irregularly.

Hello, may be worth checking with midwife or gp. A bit different from you but my bleeding went on for more then 6 weeks, after a sudden 'gush' and blood clots at around 7 weeks it was discovered I had a bit of placenta inside that had caused an infection. Most likely not the same for you but may be worth mentioning it to be sure?

Sorry, not really a reassuring post Confused

apparently my placenta all came out and smear and 6 week check all ok so hopefully not that.

I did this with the first - fizzled out/stopped then started up again. I spoke to GP - all they said was try not to do too much - any exersion can start it up again. Basically you have a wound which needs to heal. If in doubt, give your MW a ring.
