Woke up feeling sick and was sick -this stopped mid afternoon (i put it down to a bug),but i also had my sweep today - mw gave me a score of 4. Not long after i got back ache (like peiod pains) and kept getting stomach ache but this stopped and back ache got better. Tried sex to help speed things up and about a hour after i was having contractions every 15mins (it varied) apart. Noticed some pinky/orangy discharge (i'm guessing this is my plug). Contractions arent as painful after a hot bath but i keep getting 'pains' but there very irregular. Any advice?

oohhh- sounds like my experience, after i had a bath the pains went and went tobed and then 3 hours later i woke up in full blown labour!!! good luck!!! i never thought a sweep would work!

I've been laid on sofa since my bath so didnt no if that was stopping gravity doing its thing so i've sat up and its def more painful. Sounds like theres still hope

I want the pain! Its a shame not to go into labour after a few hours of painful contractions! - i feel cheated! lol

But every contraction will be doing something and will hopefully make labour shorter

Hey pinkyp, I wondered if you have an update for us? Did things move along or settle down?

All the best,

Did you go into labour?- hope so. I had a sweep yesterday (41wks) and have had absolutely nothing following it - in fact less twinges then before. Feeling a tad disappointed as desperate to avoid being induced on Tuesday....

pinkyp · 06/12/2010 10:17

I'm still here! was still feeling a bit 'off it' so i'm guessing i must of just of had a bit of a bug. Oh well looks like it will be weds when i finally get induced. Getting qite scarey now!
