4th pregnancy - hopeefully 3rd HB.

A new MW led unit has just opened near me and I keep thinking about it, like I've had 2 wonderful HBs and I'm pushing it hoping for a 3rd!!

Anyone felt like this?

I know I will probably stay at home cause I'm too lazy to think about going, lol!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

erm - yes i have! all 3 at home. I can't imagine giving birth in a hospital -

aren't the stats for a second or subsequent birth it is less risky at home?

I know what you feel though - i felt it too - i just felt that things had gone so well previously i was running out of luck.

I'm sure everyone feels they're pushing it whichever way they give birth - so much so people often choose not to have any more kids for that reason.

birth carries risks. and lets face it - is painful. but the risks don't increase with repetition - if you commence labour at home 90% chance of you completeing there.

that is to say, you are actually safer at home than in hospital, and so is your baby.

I've got three dcs and had three HBs :) I was v nervous about last birth as I also felt I would be pushing my luck!! But it wa another great birth, go for it Grin

I had 3 HB's and by the third one was convinced that something must go wrong as the firs 2 had been straight forward and thought I couldn't be that lucky again. Fortunately, all was straight forward and no reason why it shouldn't have been. Although every labour is different, you've done it 3 times before so your body's used to it. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks its good to know others have felt the same.
I can't imagine 'booking in' to go in hospital/birth centre TBH.

Glad to hear its gone well for others.
