Which birth pool?

I'm planning a homebirth in water, and so need to work out which pool to get. It'll be in March in a smallish lounge with an open fire, so obviously we're going to have to be careful not to melt it (it'll be positioned away from the fire)! But which one to get? MW recommended one called 'Birth in a Box' (but said not to get the 'Eco' one), and the NCT has one called 'Eco Birth Pool in a Box' which looks good. Which one did you use and what did you think?

I really liked the La Bassine pool - from madeinwater.com Ours was inflated near to our open fire and didn't melt!

I second LaBassine, it was good, had supportive sides to lean on and didn't need a huge amount of space.

Thanks for the La Bassine tip - I shall check that out. Especially good to know that it didn't melt near the fire Grin
