Er, so, if I have damp knickers and it ain't pee - and I certainly haven't had a show - then can it be amniotic fluid? It's clear, not a gush, intermittent, and nothing like the white discharge I've seen so far. Am 40+6 and the head was 3/5 when I was checked two days ago.

This happened with pg1 and it was all a false alarm - I had never heard of leukorrhea then but still don't know whether leukorrhea can be clear or is always white :)

Ha! You've been found out. :)

Did you look at this blog? I linked to it on the Nov thread. Has a few theories about what a fluid leak/discharge might be if it's not amniotic fluid.

Show and waters all at same time for me, then DS 6 hours later.

AnyFuleKno · 26/11/2010 20:59

my water broke without me having a show (at least not that I noticed), so that in itself doesn't rule out your waters being broken.

Not with me with DC2. My waters leaked away gradually ( and Blush unrecognised as such by me at the time) over 2 or 3 days, starting when I was 39+6. Started having a show a day later and DD was born at 40+2.

I think you should do what I didn't do and get checked out. MWs can tell very easily if it's amniotic fluid.

Thanks, JFly! Hopefully my lurgey-ridden DD and DP will let me MN a bit tonight (unless we go to the delivery unit, that is! :D) and then I'll find all of you a/n clubbers out :) I shall check out that link.

And thanks to everyone else, too - hmm, so it could be - better talk to a MW - cor! :D
