Mucus plug - TMI alert!

Hello all,
I think I had a show on Friday night but it was nothing like I thought it would be. Instead of being bloody, it was just a big blob of mucus that became dislodged when I was doing some perineal massage.
I think I am now in the early stages of labour but am not sure whether to count my Friday night experience as a proper 'show' or not because of the lack of blood.
What do you think? And if it was a show, how long should it be before I go into labour? Because I kind of expected for things to start sooner afterwards than they seem to have done.

I had similar about 2 weeks ago and still waiting...

I can't remember any pink bits last time either. But don't get excited, could be weeks. Sad

I had exactly the same - big blob, no blood, almost 3 weeks ago and still no labour. It means your cervix is starting to get ready, but labour could be days or weeks away unfortunately :(

Yes, that was your mucous plug, but you'll have to wait for a bloody show or some early contractions before you know whether things are kicking off. Good luck!

I had pinky/brown show on the Sunday morning and started contracting later that day, 4cm dilated by 10pm and DD2 born at 2.54am.
