Has anyone used Epi-no ??

I've just heard about this:

www.epi-no.co.uk

I don't want to go into detail, but it is a device to help/replace with perineal massage.

I've heard one good report but would need quite a bit more convincing before splashing out the (considerable) cash.

Anyone got warnings or recommendations to share?

I've just seen this old thread on the same topic:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/childbirth/493055-has-anyone-tried-the-pelvic-floor-muscle-exerciser-epino

but interested to know if anyone else has tried it?

i used it and although i ended up with a 2nd degree tear this was caused by dc1's long fingernails when she came out with her hand up by her head - the mw thought i was going to be fine until that point. i was very nervous about giving birth and finding how much i could stretch and the size of the epi-no that I was able to accommodate really helped my confidence.
