Mine stopped 2 weeks after, but has restarted at 4.5wks. I had nothing imbetween.

I'm bfing but could this be a period? The loss and mild back pain are like my periods, no smell or anything to suggest an infection.

Any thoughts?

would think it could be your period, or have you done any thing strenuous to indicate it could be a eturn of Lochia?

I suggest if you have any real concerns you contact your HCP and see what they say. Keep an eye for smell, heaviness, clots etc

I didn't get periods until after I finished bfing last time

Hi, I'm bf too, my baby is 3 weeks old. The bleeding after the birth stopped within a week, then a week of nothing at all, and then it restarted with a vengeance and is still going now.
I'm curious to know why it stops and suddenly starts again too, I didn't do anything strenuous. Now, at 3 weeks, it often stops early evening and restarts half way through the morning. Am fed up with it now!!
I've heard it isn't possible for it to be a period within 6 weeks of giving birth.

Mines continual, with v mild period type pain. It's proper blood too (sorry tmi) but not clots etc.

As you say, why does it stop completely then start again?!
