When's my baby coming???

Hello

Had a sweep yesterday at 41 weeks exactly. Had a bishops score of 6 (highest for favourability) and the sweep brought on lots of show this morning and has carried on all day. I thought things might kick off last night as lots of cramps and stabbing pains but eased at 3am and haven't returned all day.

I've been resting all day but absolutely nothing happening. Do you think I'l make it to a second sweep on Weds? I thought sweeps were meant to work in about 24 hours?

Hi I think sweeps will only work if your body is ready to go into labour anyway. It sounds like your body is gearing up so you probably won't have to wait much longer. This cramping might go on for some days though but it's al good it means that your body is doing some of the work gently so that may mean you have a swifter labour. Good luck.

I've been keeping moving to try and encourge labour, if i was you i'd get a birthing ball to bounce on or go for a long walk
