I had my baby in May but required restitching in August, 11 weeks ago. Been told all healed fine and have a "beautiful perineum" Hmm but just can't bring myself to get a mirror out! I havent looked at all since having baby. I was never exactly fine-tuned with my bits even before pregnancy but part of me is really curious! Will I regret it?!

If it all feels fine then don't bother! When I looked after about 4/5 weeks i was so upset I cried for 30 mins :) it looked so different and it freaked me out, but 6 months on it is all fine now so am no longer scared of my own bits haha

Hi first1,
u can be waxed now!! Yippee I do waxing for a living so u will be fine to have it done, but like u said just not directly over the scar this time it will feel horrible!!!

I got DH to check first and looked after he reassured me it was fine. Bless him! - He also sat and held my hand for my 1st poo! OMG if you'd told me that would happen before DD was born I would have said no way - we always closed the door before!

Tori, your husband really, really loves you! Smile

Omg these are the times I am glad I had c-sections, why on earth would you be scared of your own fanny?

I looked - almost immediately. My stitches were digging in and I couldn't resist a poke about. It was hideous down there but I didn't feel bad about it. I knew it'd get better - and it did. The bruising was amazing though....completely black! Shock

Tori nothing could ever ever bribe me enough to poo in front of someone!

I’m so glad I found this thread! It’s been 3 weeks and I was wondering if it was only me that was too scared to look. I will now sit tight for a while longer!! Thanks ladies
