Have my waters gone? If not, what is this?

I am 40+4 wks pg.

Last night, about 11pm, I had a small gush of water and thought it may be my waters.

Nothing else happened for a good couple of hours when I got up to use the toilet and had another small gush.

There was a bit of clear gunky thick mucus as well.

Nothing else has happened and I due to see consultant at 10 this morning.

Does it sound like my waters?
Should I be phoning the hospital?

My midwife with ds1 it was my 'hind' waters that had gone!! apparently you have a smaller amount of water to cushion the water your baby is carried in????? the gunk is a 'show' i think - having said that ive had 3 c sections and so really dont know - hiope you are ok tho and good luck wont be long now.

Sounds like it to me. With ds1 I had more of a trickle when waters went than the large gush that people usually think of.

put a pad on if you haven't already and save any pads to show them, but only is they ask to see, don't go waving them at the receptionist....

you want the waters to be clear, if there is any brown or green staining or bits in it phone them straight away as could be meconium (baby poo) which can be a problem

Thanks, it is definitely clear. I'm not leaking anything now, is that normal?

Think I'm having contractions now - roughly one every ten minutes.

Wish I was better at telling if I'm in labour or not!

Oh good luck Giddyup! I was due Monday as well.

I just got back from the DAU and it wasn't my waters breaking, just a show and my cervix is only 1cm.

On the bright side I had a sweep so hopefully that will get things moving.

I do feel like I'm having contractions though, don't know what else they could be.
