2 Sweeps in 2 Days, OTT?

Just to clarify, I dont have some weird fetish for allowing previously unknown midwifes to rummage around in my fanjo Grin

I'll be 41 weeks tomorrow, booked for induction on tuesday at a standard 41+5 but i'm trying to avoid being induced at all costs. The problem is my little frigger darling is refusing to budge.

I've already had 2 attempted sweeps, one on my due date and one at 40+4 but cervix wasn't favourable so a proper sweep couldnt be carried out. My MW suggested dropping into a local clinic towards the end of this week to try again. Would it be OTT do you think to go to the available clinics both tomorrow and friday to try and get things moving? Nothing else i've tried seems to be working, and i've had no signs of impending labour, not even a show (sorry if tmi)

Hi. I had 2 sweeps 4 days apart. I think you will find that they want a minimum of 48hrs between them. I think if you cervix is unfavourable then they won't be able to do much. I went to 40+14 and went for induction so I do sympathise. My baby didn't engage ever and had to be pushed down when they broke my waters. Induction was my worst fear but was far better than I could have imagined and a lot easier and quicker than the waterbirth of my first child. Be positive, hope for the best and good luck.x
