Great experience at the Lindo wing

I gave birth more than a week ago at the Lindo wing and since I had read some posts regarding the place I thought to share what a wonderful experience I had giving birth there. It is true that they are undergoing a refurb but I still was fortunate enough to make it before they closed.

I was amazed by the professionalism and warm, tender care I received from all midwives. Due to the refurb the ward was moved from floor 4 to floor 2 but it really did not feel like the staff were working in an unknown environment. Everything run like clockwork. I was initially concerned about the move and that it would have an effect on the quality of my stay there. I soon realized that it was the people working there and not the rooms that made all the difference. I really did not want to leave! ;)

I was in a consultant led care and I can't say enough about Mr. Horner who looked after me during the pregnancy and the delivery of my baby. If anyone is looking for a private doctor in London I can recommend him highly. He is very reassuring, well organised and caring and what is most important always there to answer even the silliest of questions. I felt completely safe in his care.

I now have a wonderful little girl and a ton of positive thoughts about my labour and stay at the Lindo wing. :)
