Oh no poor u it's awful being late, if it helps my dc2 I was only 3cm dilated at 4.15 and he was born at 5.11!!! So things can move very fast. The end is in sight ur little bundle will be here soon. GOOD LUCK xxxxxxxx

im 40+2 today and feel your pain, although i havent had any sweeps yet - howcome theyve done 3 on you already? Midwife said i could have had one when i was 40wks but i declined as i just dont hear many stories of them actually working.
Its so annoying being overdue, you spend all those weeks looking forward to D-Day only for it to just go past with nothing! :(

Lets pray for each other eh? :)

See cervical reversal. Was it different people doing the measuring though? Different midwives/doctors may tend to measure slightly differently.
Also, 40+4 is not in any way late, or overdue. Anywhere between 38-42 weeks is normal.

Well I had a sweep last Wedsnesday just o see what came of it - not a lot.

Then Sunday night I was having regular contractions but they just wasn't strong enough and i wasn't sure if I was leaking amniotic fluid so they did one then.

Then Monday night I was having contractions every 3-4 minutes lasting between 60 sec - 120 sec.. s they checked again but said i need to wait for them to intensify.

I'm just fed up of all this drib-drabby aches etc and not moving forward. cervix is still posterior but almost effaced. baby is 1/5 off of being fully engaged and i just feel shattered from it all already. not being able to sleep where my back hurts now. bump is achy. argh

Dozey- Have a read of this- it's about warm-up labour and is very reassuring and helpful. Your body is doing the work now albeit gently so that labour may be shorter for you when it picks up speed. Good luck.

Thank you TheMulled, i'll have a read. :)

dozey im on the same boat as you, had contrqactions for 12hrs yesterday but only 2cm dilated, so chose 2 come home, they went away all day 2day but there back now and gettin sore, i dont reli want 2 go2 the hospital until i feel i cant handle anymre, but i also wonder if i could go up and just say enough is enough i cant take much more, so dissapointing when nothing reli is happenin, im thinking it was the sweep a had 2 days ago.
