I'm in the same boat but when I saw MW today she didn't think labour was going to be any earlier than last time.

A friend just had her fourth baby 12 days LATE after being engaged since 36 weeks!

My 2nd and 4th babies were both fully engaged by 37 weeks, both went 4 days over.

I'm 38+5 with DC4 and babe has been 2/5 engaged for nearly 3 weeks and I have been having very strong BHs and backache. I don't think anybody could predict when these babies intend on coming out!! It's all just a waiting game. Good luck Smile

My dd engaged at 31 weeks. Born 8 uncomfortable weeks later.

Means v little.

But in terms of partner going away, if there's a chance that he doesn't have to go then I'd take it. Because who knows when you might go into labour.
