To ask for a section.
Ive suffered with severe SPD since 22weeks ish, and still have another 3weeks until my due date. Im in complete agony all the time now, and im constantly exhausted as im not getting to sleep easily because of the pain. Im in excrutiating pain every evening for a good 5 or 6 hours, I cant even move my legs let alone have them slightly apart for the birth!!
Whats best??? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee help me

I'm sorry I don't know a lot about SPD but I would call your midwife and ask for a special appointment to discuss your options, and tell her how you're feeling.
You can ask!

Poor you! SPD is awful. I don't know if you have the right, but I would have thought they would consider you for one. I've certainly heard of poeple with SPD having c-sections when they can't open their legs.

jofeb4 - i would definitely go and see your midwife... or get her to come and see you if you can't get in and out of the car easily. i have to say though, that they are unlikely to be keen about delivering the baby at 37 weeks because they can't guarantee how well developed the baby's lungs are at that point (although most stats say they should be fine). if they do agree to a planned section then they need to get it in the surgery books (i know this from experience!) so make sure you see the mw this week so that they can book you in asap.
good luck and i hope they get you in, sort you out and relieve your discomfort.

Yes, you can request an elective c-section. But, only a consultant can make the decision to give you an elective c-section, don't bother with a midwife, just ask to see a doctor, but make sure you see one this week and get it agreed.
