Hi all,

I'm wondering if you could help I think I may have had a bit of a show tonight....but not 100%. I'm 39+5 and when I went to the loo and wiped there was a blobby jelly bit (sorry if tmi!) not a lot though and I'd heard a show is about the size of a 50p piece? Is this def a bit of the show or is it just thicker discharge? If it is a show how long til labour starts?!

Thanks in advance for your help, sorry it's such a disgusting question!

Your description of jelly certainly sounds like a show. I've never heard about a size requirement. Mine was just an obvious jelly-type substance when I wiped which quickly became blood-streaked. I had my baby in my arms within 12 hours, so good luck and keep us posted. Smile

I don't remember it being very big. With ds1 he was born 6 hours later, with ds2 it was about 3 days before I was induced. The good news is that something is starting to happen but don't hold your breath! Try to relax and not think too much about it. Good luck.

Sounds like a show, however, be warned with my DS it was a further 2 weeks before i went in labour!

Good luck.

I have been having the blobby jelly stuff (looks like bogeys, sorry if too much info) for about a week. No baby yet.... sorry!

I've only had a show once, with DD1. It was on a Friday afternoon and she was born the following Monday at 3.21pm.

Good luck!
