Like braxton hicks, but regular.

Dozeyland · 12/10/2010 14:36

how regular would you say?

mine felt like achy period pains that came every 15 mins and lasted about 15 seconds and they stayed like that for about 8 hours at night.

A bit like period pain, in that dull sort of way with BH regularly. Ideally you'll want to sleep through this bit to conserve energy for later!

buttonmoon78 · 12/10/2010 14:37

Mine started at about 6-7mins apart.

Dont know - too fast went straight to active labour.

LynetteScavo · 12/10/2010 14:39

About 10 mins apart, at first.

Dozeyland · 12/10/2010 14:44

See atm i am 38+4.

Braxton hicks, are irregular, i have abour 10+ a day...

just big tightenings at the mo. not painful.

babys head is really engaged so i suppose im just hoping to notice any change...

Doesn't sound like labour to me.

buttonmoon78 · 12/10/2010 14:51

I agree. Don't think it's labour. All those BHs serve a purpose though. It all helps!

Dozeyland · 12/10/2010 14:53

I dont think im in labour, was just wondering what early stages people had.

like numerous friends of mine:

1: it was a show.

  1. it was waters
  2. it was more and more BHs then contractions
etc

Oh, right, well with DD1 I had a show then contractions started 2 days later.

DD2 no show, just contractions.

DS - induced.

Had waters broken with all 3. FWIW, my contractions were not like BHs getting more regular and stronger. They started just like that, at 12am on the nose with dds.
