Did anyone's labour start like this?

I am due tomorrow and woke up about 2 hours ago feeling sick, hungry and like I have an upset tummy? Have had some toast but still feel a bit odd.

I am going to go back to bed and check in later to see if anyone had a similar start. Hoping so as very large now and a bit fed up.

All mine started with a dodgy tummy. Good luck!

Yes, mine started like that. I began feeling queasy, with stomach cramps and diarrhoea.

Contractions started about six hours later - up until that point I was trying to persuade myself that I'd had a dodgy egg for lunch. Smile

Hope going back to bed helps - ring your hospital when you get up, though, to see what they want you to do. I imagine they won't want to see you till contractions are well under way.

Report back, though, and good luck!

I'm 39 weeks and have felt like this all week! It could be things starting but might be a while yet.

Hope you get on ok!

Thanks all. I went back to bed for a few hours and now am up and about but feeling a bit dodgy. Doesn't feel like much is happening though. Certainly not like with DS where i woke at 3am with contractions. Hmmm...

Fingers crossed something happens in the night.

lets hope so tomorrow would be a fab DOB :) Think I may have just overdone it!

Mine started with just feeling unwell and the shakes. Had this the day before but didn't realise I was in labour (3 weeks early) I had him early that morning.

FloraFinching · 10/10/2010 16:05

yup.
I'd had a prawn curry the night before, and woke up with classic bad seafood/curry symptoms. Ignored them until my waters broke a few hours later.

Oh I wish it had been the start but unfortunately not. Still here and now not a bean going on! Really want this baby out as have sciatica and feeling a bit fed up.

I feel for you, last Tuesday I was sent from the midwife to the hospital at 36+ weeks with a high pulse, having felt sick for a few days (like I was going to vomit off and on for hours each day) had a strong pain for 20 minutes the Sunday before and when I got there had regular BH contractions for hours... in the end for me it's just the long start of labor which can go on until our due date or send him to me tomorrow. Yesterday I went to the Midwife again, he's 3/5 engaged and probably started to drop the day after I was in the hospital... she says he can come at any time now. Feeling crampy and crummy still, a good week on. Hope you pop soon Wink or at least start to feel a bit better!

I've been having twinges and tummy cramps complete with the runs (sorry if tmi) since Monday but apparently baby is not yet engaged so have no idea if it's pre-labour or what. Have any of you felt achey as if you were about to come down with a cold/flu? I've had this the last couple of evenings but it seems to pass off by the morning. Can't wait for it all to just start properly! Fingers crossed for everyone :)
