Am worried about friend in labour.

She was induced at 36 weeks yesterday, was txting me through out the day. Last maessage was near midnight saying they 'had to get baby out asap'

I've not heard anything since.

Am just a bit worried after the frequents txts then nothing.

I know she is probably cuddling her baby and txting is he last thing on her mind but I'm a worrier!

I was on here/texting for a long labour. They then needed to get dd out asap. The last thing on my mind for a long time afterwards was texting. I was in a bed post-op with numb legs, couldn't reach my bag and had dd tucked in with me. I was trying to bfeed/have skin to skin. I'm sure there's nothing wrong.

Oh I'm sorry, waiting is awful in a situation like that.

If she had time to text you that at midnight then at least you know it wasn't a complete 'crash' type situation. She will likely have been awake half the night and not wanting to text you at 4am, then just as it got towards more sociable texting time she'd probably conked out for a couple of hours. Or else her phone's died!

Make a cuppa, eat some biscuits, watch some crap telly and I bet you'll hear within an hour or so.

I meant to say 'have to get her out asap' not 'had to' , meaning they were going to get her out, not that she was already.

Ahem, yes.

I went in to be induced, as the baby needed to be 'got out'. Nothing happened the first day, they just monitored me. They didn't induce me till day two. I hadn't given a thought to the people I'd told I'd gone into hospital - someone came in to make sure I was OK, because they'd not heard!
