tips for 2nd c section

I'm having an elective c section in Jan (cavernous angioma eg enlarged blood vessel in brain that has previously bled = not a good idea to push. no symptoms though). My DD will be 2y8m and continuing to go to CM then nursery 3 days a week.

Any tips for coping? I was in pain for a long time last time.

Is it a mistake to have DD visit me in hospital? I'll be in for 4 days.

Should I get a mother's help type person to be with me with lifting and stuff after DH back at work?

Just had my second EMCS, I have a 3.8 yo and a 10 day old.

I really recommend the theraline support belt! Link here.

DS visited me in hosp, it was fine (he knew mummy had a sore tummy so not to climb on me).

Depends how long your DH will have off. After 2 weeks I'd say you will be able to lift most stuff. I'd start getting your older DC used to not being lifted now (tell her she's getting too big and heavy). You won't be able to drive for a few weeks anyway so no need to worry about lifting car seats etc. Get your shopping delivered. And you shouldn't have to lift too much else that is v heavy.

Good luck!
