Hi,
i had an elective c-section for a very badly positioned footling breech on 30th june, which went without complications. Anyone know when the whole feeling of bring numb will go? I have a band of numbness around my scar about 3 inches wide. Just checking this is normal.
THanks

Hello - congrats on your baby! I had a section with my first and still have some numbness 2 years later, although definitely not as wide an area as it was. Am currently 34 weeks pg with number 2 and can tell where my old scar lies from the lack of feeling along the scar itself, but it's not too bad. Due another section in 5 weeks time so preparaing to lose feeling yet again!

i had my second c section on the 9th july and i still don't have the feeling back. it can take up to a year or sometimes never....i am sure you will be fine as i got the feeling back after my first.

Hello. Congratulations! Like Threelittleducks, I had a section some time ago (19 months). The I have not totally lost the numb feeling either and the skin feels tender if I pinch it. It is way, way better than in the first few months and I assume it's just normal have have got used to it now.
